Idea for the book

I've had several people ask me how I came up with the idea for this book. My family was originally from the South and we had several family members who fought in the war. We had one family member who did flee the United States after the war to live in Brazil.
This was a little known fact that hundreds of Confederates fled the United States for South America rather than live as war refugees under Yankee rule. There is an actual town in Brazil called Americana that was started by ex- Confederates. I have a personal love for Argentina and the Gaucho life style. Years back I owned a company called Gaucho knives, where I imported the Gaucho or South American cowboy knives thus the Gaucho connection.
The main character Murray was named after my Grandmother Janie Murray whose family came over from Scotland in the 1600's. A little creative thinking and you have a story of a Confederate soldier in South America living among the Gauchos.
I'm a big Clint Eastwood fan so the main character is based on a Clint Eastwood type character. So if you like Western type action, tough characters and lots of violence then you should completely enjoy this book!
